Recently I caught the movie "The Leap Years", starring Wong Li Lin and this Thai guy Ananda something something.
Inside the show, Ananda asked her where would she like to go and she said to weddings, because weddings are the place where everyone is the happiest. I thought to myself, is that really so? What if one of the ex boyfriends who still loves the bride is at the ceremony? Will he be really happy for her, or actually putting on a facade in front of everyone?
Now, before all of you think that this scenario happened to me, it did not. However I was really thinking deep about this. What if one day this scene happens to me? There would only be two outcomes actually. First, I wouldn't even go in the first place, or I'll probably be the one sitting at just a corner and maybe leave halfway through the ceremony.
Seeing your ex with someone whom she is happy with, definitely you'll feel kinda sad ain't it? You might feel happy for him/her, but probably slightly only I guess? Deep down you'll definitely get the feeling, "why isn't this scene happening to the both of us instead?"
People might comment that we deserve it ourselves in the first place, for not treasuring him/her in the past. But well, what if you had put up a fight for the relationship in the first place?
Seeing the person you love the most being happy with someone else, it's really saddening. Especially when you know you have so much more to offer.
